1-2 effective 500. 9 handed.
Hero has a TAG image.
Hero UTG AKcc raise to 10, MP fish calls, HJ aggro reg raise to 30. HERO calls, fold.

Heads up
(73) Flop QQJxss
Check check
(73) Turn 8x
Hero bets 45, calls.
(163) Riv 8s
Hero bets 90?

Not sure on the preflop Play, I didn’t want to stack off 250bb so I opt to just flat because 4b/fold sounds just as bad.

Maybe I should overbet bluff or c/r the turn to try and play for stacks when villain looks capped. Maybe I shouldn’t bluff in 1/2.
Any thoughts?

Im not a huge fan. What do you think he calls the turn with then folds this river? Taking one stab is questionable, but a 2nd barrel on that river seems bad. I guess the flush looks scarier to Jx, so maybe he finds a fold, but there probably arent a lot of Jx hands in his 3! range. 99+ are all possible here as well, and may also look you up on this runout. You are getting trapped a decent amount here as well. Being OOP I am looking to just check this hand down or maybe call a river bet.

Pre: against an "aggro reg" this should be a 4 bet since we are OOP IMO sizing should be 85-100 I like flatting more if you were in position

Turn- what are you hoping to fold when you bet? 1010? is that even in his 3 bet range? AJ is calling turn...What is in his 3 bet Range? If no spade comes on the river are you still firing? IMO on a paired board like this with the J this isn't the greatest situation to be bluffing in a 3 bet pot.

River- I'm never in this spot but IMO the spade is the only card that is ok to fire on. You can pick a better spot to bluff

Have any read at all. Any tendancies?

Aggro reg is really vag. Meaning you probably think he plays to loose or to aggresive.

Generally when aggro shuts down in 3 bet pot. Going for second barrel is fine. As he is generally aggro, and his checking range is super weak.

Most aggro's cbet 100% in 3 bet pots. So flop check is odd.

Given fact we should have more PP, and Q's than him. Going with 2 street bluff should be fine.

But we have almost zero read. Checking with the showdown value is probably stronger play.

I don't really like the river bet. What's he calling turn that folds river?

Plus, he doesn't always have air when he checks flop. Smart villains will check back monsters some % of the time OTF if he thinks you're capable of turning AK or smaller PP into a bluff.

Also, I think PF is a 4b to like 90-95. If he's aggro and raising/3! relatively lightly, your hand is way ahead of his range. Calling just puts you in a tough spot because you need to hit your hand most of the time to win the pot.

4bet aggro players next time. As played I mean I dont hate the line, you're basically repping Qx that tried to trap. But I think this is all too fancy for live and you'd be better off just checking it down & letting it go whatever happens. I think TT/AJ folds, but not KK.

That river card is really bad for you if you consider your hand a bluff. It's a good reason to avoid another barrel.
