Bluff-catcher facing 3rd barrel shove Bluff-catcher facing 3rd barrel shove

1/2
V is competent, young guy playing LAG raising pre/taking pots down with bets otf. I just switched tables to play with a fishy player with a big stack, and have only played for a couple rounds. Haven't seen him in any big pots. Played with him before, pretty aggro until raised. He basically told me he wants to mix it up with me lol (hand was after big-stack left so I'm bigstack) and I told him to bring it on. It's all friendly but I'm still pretty sure he wants to outplay me.

Hero (700) - picks up AK in MP, raises to 12, V (370) raises to 35 otb, hero flats. (I am 100% certain he is raising with a wide range, as wide as suited Qs, Ks, As, PPs, etc. I'm also comfortable playing OOP, as it's probably more profitable to let V barrel and call him down if I hit).

Flop - K 10 7 r. Hero checks, V bets 40, hero calls.

Turn - K 10 7 Q, 2 diamonds. Hero checks, V bets 75, hero calls.

River - K 10 7 Q 5, no flush. Hero checks, V insta-shoves for 220.

I'll give my opinion of the hand after a few comments. Thoughts?

Given your reads and the image of this villain I might find a call. He shoved so fast otr, most people when they are going for value try to look weak by looking undecided on what to do and take longer to act, so that sways my decision a little bit.

The board looks pretty S**itty for TPTK tho.

What do you beat with this board and his line? Unless V is suicidal, the best you can hope for realistically is chopping with his AK.

I understand bluffcatching if he c-bets, checks the turn, and puts out a small bet on the river. But 3-bet/bet/bet/shove is not a line that you want to be calling down with TPTK.

Remember that LAGs don't make the bulk of their money with c-bets. They make most of their money when people convince themselves that they "can't have it this time" and boom, they have it.

IMO this is a clear fold. Only thing you beat is something like QJ he decided to turn into a bluff which I don't think he does often because you called his raise pre and flop and turn. He is competent so he knows you have a strong hand and I think he is going for value here wanting you to call. So many hands that beat you.

I beat JJ, KJ, J10, QJ, J8, 99, 88, K9, etc, plus total air. My line of thinking was that if V did have a jack in his hand the turn is the perfect barrel card, although it's such a good card anyway because it's so scary.

V is never doing this with AA/AK/AQ etc. I'm not sure if he takes this like with QQ either (obviously he would bet the turn, but I feel he would take a bit longer otr and think about it). The fact that it is such a scary board makes it more fishy, because he's only repping the nuts/2nd nuts, and he would take time to decide whether a shove would get the most value IMO.

And I understand that LAGs have it when you don't think they do etc., but they are also able to turn their hands with equity ott into a bluff otr when they miss.
