Villain has limped QQ twice and AA once this session. Limping lots of hands passive pre and post. Definitely playing anything suited, but does have fold button pre.

OTTH. 350 effective.

Villain limps in HJ. Hero raises in BB with AA to 12. Villain calls.

Flop 1064

Hero bets 15. V calls.

Turn 3:

Hero bets 30. V calls.

River 4

Hero bets 50...Betting for value vs JJ+ and K10, A10 part of range. Too thin with flush on board? Should I’ve bet smaller?

I'd bet larger on the turn. Something like $45. He's not all that likely to have a flush but can have TX or an overpair with a club that will pay the larger bet.

Other than that, looks good. River being a small value bet makes some good sense, imo, since you're rarely bluffing that brick river.

Edit: Oh and bad beat about the river making the hand invalid.

I like preflop sizing as it sets up an easy-to-play SPR where we have lots of room to move postflop.

Has this guy limp/reraised his big hands when raised? Does he call down with big hands (ex. sets) postflop or does he raise them somewhere along the way?

Anyhoo, SPR is a big 14 on the flop. Against this guy, my typical plan would be to bet/fold small on each street, like in the ~1/2 PSB +/- area.

I'm ok with our 2/3 PSB on the flop on this slightly drawy board.

Against passive players who will start just calling down with big hands once the flush comes in I would lean towards small bets on the turn/river, like nothing more than 1/2 PSB. There's just much less reason for them to call down with worse at this point so if we're betting we should give them more of a reason to call by making it so cheap. I like our ~1/2 PSBs on the turn/river (I might bet even slightly smaller but whatever).

Against a passive player I think bet/folding the flop is fine, imo; not enough passive players raise the flop with hands we beat. If we've seen him raise the flop with draws or "to see where he's at" to then check it down, then fine, but that doesn't strike me as passive play.
