$1/2 Full Ring

Button (Villian): $500
SB: : $150
BB: (Hero) : $500

Villian is a rec fish who folds if he misses and totally overbet's his overpairs or TPTK, been seeing him do it all night. I've been trying to set mine him all night since I know I'll get paid, but alas, no sets.

I'm dealt Qc/6c and there's a straddle.

SB calls, I call, folds around to Villian who raises to $15, SB calls, I call.

Flop:

Q/6/8 rainbow.

SB checks, I check, Villian bet's $60. SB folds, it's now on me...

My analysis, no spoilers:
Spoiler:

So I want to either raise him now, or check/raise him on the turn as I know he'll fire another massive bullet. I put him on AA-KK, AQ, and QK.

If he has Q/x, then he has 6 outs, and if he has an overpair, then he has 5. I guess it's really no question then, with such a predictable opponent, we should flat him and let him fire a second barrel on the turn, and just risk him hitting his 10-12% winning turn card?

Also if, let's say he throws a hundred in on the turn, and we c/r all in, and he calls, he'll have 8-9 outs which is kind of scary, but again, it's really +EV so who cares right?

raise now and lead turn or call now and raise turn are both valid. the problem is if the board pairs, or an A comes, or 3 to a flush/straight come, is he going to MUBS fold? id rather get more money in now on the flop

Fold pre.

At whatever point you feel he's committed himself, I'd shove. If his sizing is so big that ott he bets $100 and has put in 35% of his stack, and you've seen in the past once he puts in a third, he's not folding, then shove. I don't think a third is committed. I'd probably wait until the river. Will he fire 3 barrels with these hands though? He has position and a lot of people check back the river with just 1 pair. This is part of why I said fold pre. But if you know he will bet/bet/bet with TPTK or overpairs, then I'd c/c otf, c/c ott, c/shove otr (if he doesn't just shove the river himself).

I say fold pre all day long. Now that you've made your hand it should be easy to get stacks in on the turn. Let him over bet turn again then get the $ in. If the turn is bad you can still get away. Pre flop is terrible though IMO

Another vote for fold pre: ( Q 6 ) isn't enough to defend OOP

As played, now that you have top and bottom with a flop that's very likely to have left this vill with the very TPTK/overpair hands he likes to overplay c/c, c/c, CRAI. If he raised pre with pocket queens, well, them's the breaks (and an object lesson on why hands like this are best folded OOP).

It was late ( 5:00 am with the degens ) and the tail end of my long session, I was sleepy head and I should have folded pre, I agree with you all there.

I believe I should without a doubt, check/call the flop.

Now do I check/raise the turn, or check call and then check raise all in the river; barring blank turn and river of course?

BTW: Thank you for all reflecting on my post, you guys/gals help level me up. <3<3<3

Either way is fine.

"...totally overbet's his overpairs or TPTK, been seeing him do it all night".

This suggests fixed limit player taking a shot at no limit. This would tend to tip the decision to CRAI on the river. No sense wising him up OTT, so play it like a fixed limit situation where you let the cat out of the bag on the end, and hope he calls.

At fixed limit, TPTK/overpairs are the "bread and butter" hands since you get them often, they often win, and they don't cost you all that much when they get beat. Fixed limit players usually call river c/r simply for the size of the pot, and to discourage others from taking shots. If he carried over these habits to NL, he's in for a whole lot of hurt since these hands don't just cost you a few bets when beat: they can cost you your entire stack. Help him learn that lesson for his future NL play.
