The only times I like to triple barrel without a hand is when it looks *a lot* like they have a draw, and I can't beat ace high. In that case, I like to make a very smallish bet that looks like a value bet -- it doesn't have to work often to be profitable... Occasionally I'll triple barrel bigger when I'm pretty sure they have top pair/weak kicker, they don't seem pleased about calling the turn bet, and I know they're capable of folding.
Yea, thats kind of my rule. I hate being a one barrel monkey. Might as well save that $$, because they do peel light. I guess the question is, should I be the one to find out where their pain threshold is. Sure, they are playing donkish like, but have they really had to call three tough bets with 2nd or 3rd pair on every street?
I guess I am trying to find the thin line the donks have between calling and folding. Sure, they are calling down with 2nd and 3rd pair, but in my opinion, they are trying to catch two-pair, and a lot of opponents just are quick to give up, so they get to the river, and they arent going to fold at that point, so yes, technically, the donks are playing correctly, because they are not meeting a lot of resistance.
So, I guess my question is, although we have seen some "donkish" behavior, is it +EV to try and shoot for a good double or triple barrel to see what they will call down with? the alternative, is wait for a hand, but like Antonio says, "its hard to make a pair in hold em"
