This not an opinion you want to listen to, OP.

No, listen to the guy who keeps 3betting aces when his opponent is folding to 100% of 3bets.

great post

when I hear balance in poker I also group the two (range balance and play balance)

IMO they go together when playing a GTO style

from my experience ABC tight aggressive poker is most profitable in low stake games. I also unfortunately level myself and have to constantly remind myself what limits I am playing.

The fact that you can't see why this post is ironic reinforces my point pretty perfectly.

I'm going to block you now. I recommend anyone who likes to keep their brain cells in tact do the same.

I like the mention about SC getting folds if villain thinks your 3bet is only AA... until eventually you get to a showdown.

Problem is most live NL200 is gonna be 3-6 seeing a flop. So showdown is more likely. Villains can't help but to see what kind of hands/napkins you are raising or 3betting pre.

FINE! GOOD! Let them judge me as a maniac, let them make assumptions that I know they are making, so I have an easier time ranging their hand strength when they see turns and rivers!

I try to play a rather polarized preflop range at tables with any decent aggressive villains who pay attention -- because that kind of "balance" tends to slow them down and maybe even make them more fit-or-fold OTF. Otherwise they Table Captain and I am waiting for hands/flops. Yuck.

Sure I sometimes end up having a weak holding vs a whale or station and so gotta shut down the bluffing... but better than playing fit-or-fold against the players who know how to make life difficult by their aggression.

Adapting to who continues after the flop is a critical part of exploitative poker -- imo even more critical than "play super tight preflop to exploit the stations".

Plus how can anyone stay sane playing 15% of hands pre in a live full ring game? This isn't 6max Zoom ffs...

Cliffs: some of my preflop 3bet is junk that I am happy to insta-muck if a villain 4bets; and sometimes that junk gets trap-flatted and hits 755ss way harder than an overpair. But weak Broadways are equivalent to low pairs aka limp-fold hands for me in most games nowadays; most games have a couple aggressive limp-punishers who, ironically, actually do respect YOUR raises" lol

Most of us agree that at this level, for the most part its more profitable to adjust to your opponents and not worry too much about playing exploitatively.

Here is Setsy's post on paper, rock scissors which covers the topic well.
Who is Setsy? Thank you
