Bad line with combo draw? Bad line with combo draw?

Hi guys,

2/2 game with 100 max buy-in Hero playing tight for about an hour with $140. Villain has also been playing pretty tight younger guy ball cap has $130ish to start hand.

Villain opens to 8 MP I call in LP with 67ss one other caller.

Flop is Ts8c3s. Other villain checks, main villain bets 12. My thinking is that if villain has AK, AQ if I just call he might stab again on turn setting up a repop and I'm pretty sure all my outside are clean. I also want to keep other villain in and let them build up pot a little. I flat other villain folds.

Turn 2c villain bets 25. At this point I think he has maybe JJ, possibly QQ maybe still AK last barrel trying to take it down. I feel I can blow him off the hand and after tanking for about a minute I ship. Thoughts? Misplayed? Somewhat standard? Appreciate input.

Raise flop; shove turn. Stacks are way too short for anything else.

Seems fine to me. Im not a huge fan of raising the flop this short because if he calls with an overpair otf he will call 100% of the time on the turn unless its a scare card, and we will want him to call when those hit.

Turn you can call or shove. If you think he can laydown an overpair then jam.

This^ Your equity goes way down on a blank turn, both your draw equity and your fold equity. This is especially true if the other V overcalls flop.

I think you are too short to call pre. In this game I would just 3bet or fold preflop unless people are opening unusually small for live.

As played pre, raise flop. Hero has good equity here. On turn fold equity goes up a bit, but hand equity has gone down too much to make it better play than raising flop.

Call flop. Call turn. He is giving you odds to draw. You took the absolute worst possible line. Trying to blow someone off an overpair or even a flush draw here is just terrible.

This is not a good way to make money in a short buy-in game or even a hundred bb game. Unless this guy is *much* better than most LL players AND thinks you are really tight or fishy these moves are just lighting money on fire IMO.
