Bad flop with aces? 1/2 NL Bad flop with aces? 1/2 NL

Fairly controlled 1/2 game where a standard opening bet is $10. I have been opening my entire range 5x the BB and has been effective for most of the session.

Hero BB($94) AsAc - Bets $10
UTG +2(300) calls $10
Mid position($170) calls $10
Everyone else folds.

Pot size around $34
Flop: 3d4c6d

Hero is first to act. Bets $25, UTG+2 folds, Mid position goes all in.

What is the best play in this situation?

You didn't open the pot. An "open" refers to the first vpip only.

Raise more pre-flop OOP over limpers (you didn't say how many).

The flop bet sizing is fine. Don't be looking to get away from AA 50BB deep very often, if ever. There aren't many bad enough flops for AA if you're choosing to shortstack and this is no exception. It's not even that bad of a flop.

You should do your best to change this. Especially when shortstacking, you would like to be able to raise closer to 20% of your stack with your whole raising range. Keep pushing your raise sizes up until you find the pain point.

Raise bigger pre with so many limpers and your stack size. Rule of thumb is 1BB per limper plus the standard raise plus 1BB for being out of position. I’d make it $18-$20. As short stack yes you want to set up a pot sized jam on the flop or turn.

Happy to GII on this flop. It’s wet but it’s no KQJddd.

You listed your stack at $94; is there a reason you are so shallow? If you are in that position to do so, I highly recommend topping off to the max buyin whenever you get down to 50bbs to take advantage of situations like this.

As played, we are never folding here. Make the call confidently and reload if needed. The strategy however May differ if you were deeper.

so after you're flop bet you have like 59 left? I think this is an easy call with your stack.

With an SPR of about 3 you had to consider yourself committed on the flop. Unless you had a great read on the raiser you have to go with your hand.

I'm sorry he had a set or a straight or something.

Raise bigger preflop for the reasons browni mentioned.

Given the stack-to-pot ratio, you really don't have any choice but to bet/call the flop.
