Played this hand last weekend. It happened shortly after my hero call of the night.

Stack: 1000 (400 effective)
Hand: QQ (no clubs)
Position: BB
Stakes: 2.5/2.5

V is nit/scared money. Limp-folds and limp-calls pre occasionally from early position and plays fit or fold OTF. Raises very rarely. H is considered TAG and capable of making hero calls.

OTTH:

Pre: V limps from EP. Folded to H who raises to 12.5. V calls.
Flop (30) Tc8cTs: H bets 15. V calls.
Turn (60) 8d: H checks. V bets 25. H calls.
River (110) 9h: H checks. V bets 60. H?????

As a retrospect, I don't like my check-call line OTT. How would you play it?

Against someone who is literally never bluffing I like betting the turn.

As played, I guess fold vs. this guy? Against nits I'm either value betting them or check/folding.

As a retrospect I was thinking even check-folding OTT, but probably bet-fold OTT and check-fold river if called OTT is the best line. V was really not giving much action without a good holding, and everything there beats us.

How the hand plays down is H ends up skipping all thinking and calls (H still does it occasionally in adrenaline rush after winning a big hand). V shows j8 which is surprising. Not the fact that H lost but that V limp-called pre with such.

Where is this played? I have a suspicion it could be at Casino Helsinki because of your username and because of the odd 2.5e/2.5e blinds they have there. As for the hand, I like c/c turn but c/f river vs this player type. Doubt he is double barrel bluffing once you call turn. Betting turn doesnt really work because all his draws should fold and other than that he has cointerfeit 2pairs like 77 that also fold. I mean if you bet he mostly continues with full houses only hmm.
