The room at I play at is 10% up to $5, plus $1 for the BBJ. Sometimes I noticed the dealer will rake nothing in a limped pot (If there's $8 in the limped pot and someone takes it down, 10% is $.8. Do they round up to $1 or are they supposed to rake nothing?).

Is this average, above average, or below?

where i play is a tad higher 10% up to $6 and when the pot hits $10 $1 goes to the bbj

Sounds like standard rake. Since nobody raised preflop they arent going to rake a limped pot. Unless like maybe 10 people limped.

As far as I've ever seen it's not rounded. $10 = $1 drop, $9 = no drop.

Many won't/don't rake without a flop even if it goes $10, $50, fold.

Where I play the BBJ is dropped prior to the cards being dealt...so when you chop the big blind pulls back $2 and the small blind pulls back $0.

10% up to $4 max here at Foxwoods. $1 for bbj too. Probably the lowest you'll find anywhere.

Where I usually play its the same, but they take $1 at the 5s ($1 when the pot is 5, next $1 when the pot is 15, etc.). They don't take the jackpot drop until the pot reaches a certain size, so there's a minimum that has to be in the pot to be eligible for jackpot hands.

Sometimes it depends on the dealer, but $5 or $6 max is very common. I always watch the dealers in charity rooms to see how they handle the rake as some will double rake if you dont watch them. Dont have to worry about BBJ at a charity room in Michigan. I have found that most delers will under-rake more often than over-rake.

Certainly no Flop no drop, even with significant PF action!! Most tables should rake $100 to $200 per hour and that keeps the house happy ... in most cases!!

I have one room that will round up at the 'x7' ($17=$2) which seems a bit tight ... and that is a $6 max room as well so they get their keep.

Most will drop the rake at 6 or 5 players, but make sure you ask as the dealers are on auto-rake most of the time!! GL

been a long time, but last time i played foxwoods, they were still using timed rake. i believe 1/2 was $5 every 30 min per player

That was a loooooong time ago lol only timed games left are 5/10nl and 40/80he. Not sure about the $75 stud game. Everything else is rake now i believe.
