To be fair he isn't the only poster that frequently talks about GTO without having much of an understanding of what it is.

Plenty of posters doing that lately.

Apparently it's the in vogue thing to do these days...unfortunately.

Your opponents have a range of cards in this spot. Some of that range includes better aces and some include worse FDs.

People mostly suck at poker but the better aces are supposed to foldand worse flush draws are supposed to call.
This is why its a classic GTO raise. Youdont have to have a pure bluff range here. The mathematical optimum is AJ folds and KQss calls, so raising folds out better and prices in worse simultaneously
So you're a proven winner because your opponents apparently do what they're supposed to do?

So, what's GTO?

Ps. I figured a raise was correct, because our equity in this hand was strong (TP). If we were behind, we have 12 outs (most likely) to win the hand.

Again, what is GTO?

GTO is a concept you're better off not knowing a thing about at LLSNL. You'll only get yourself into trouble trying to employ GTO at LLSNL.

GTO stands for game theory optimal. Bing "gto poker" for more info.

GTO poker - much discussed, rarely understood.

No need to be sorry. I dont need validation from random unknown people, most of whom can barely break even if they are lucky, for me to know I'm a good player.

(That wasn't referring to you)

Too much e-peening ITT. Locked.
