2/5 on a Tuesday afternoon. I've been here about a half hour or so.
V1 on button (1000) is a middle-aged asian guy, business casual, classy watch. I've got my eye on his stack. I played at his table for hours the other night. He's a fine, aggressive player. Positionally aware. But exploitable. He's just too much on autopilot. He open-raises on the button automatically if it's checked or limped to him. Automatically makes a huge, like pot-sized cbet 100%. And this is always a bet-fold, if you have the gonads and the stack to stand up to him.
V2 in CO (375) is a young college-age kid. I haven't seen him do a dang thing yet.
Hero, UTG+1 (1000) is a chunky middle-aged white guy. I don't know if villain remembers me from the other night or not. I always start out nitty and then once I've got enough reads I basically play... well, just like villain, but a tad less aggro cbet-wise. Not so far today though.
To my left are a bunch of little old men, then the college kid, then the asian businessman.
UTG folds
I limp with A
Q
.
Folds around to college kid, who limps.
Villain on button autoraises $25.
Me and college kid call, everybody else folds, pot $75.
Flop: A
6
3
Hero checks
College kid checks
Villain bets $100
Hero raises $250
College kid thinks, and then shoves his remaining $350.
Asian guy tanks and tanks and tanks and finally folds. Give that man an oscar.
As for college kid... well, we can talk about it if you want, I didn't find this decision very difficult.
Main question here is preflop play.
