2/5 with ~1200 stacks and straddle on

-CO limps and Hero makes it 40 on the B with AQ
-BB makes it 160 (Good TAG pro who I have history with. His range here is ~ 99+, AJ+, KQ, some SCs like J10s and 76s and some small suited Ace combos).
-Hero calls

Flop (342) - 1073
-Villain bets 150
-Hero?

Do you 4bet pre, and how to you proceed as played? I almost always 4bet AK and sometimes AQo with these dynamics against a good player. Flatted AQs here but I'm curious what you guys think.

Cheers!

I go $50 initially BTN vs BB, with BB's 3 betting range here, I 4 bet all day.

I'm not folding this flop for several reasons. For starters, we're deep enough that we don't have to worry about getting shoved on ott. Secondly, we have two overs + BDFD facing a very small sizing. Third, villain is c betting wide enough here that he'll x-f a lot of turns.

@sixsevenoff yeah that makes sense. What's your 4bet sizing.. ~420? And do you just call it off if he 5bet jams?

Vs TAG pro, yeah that sizing is fine; zero chance I call a 5 bet shove though. So long as you aren't notorious for 4 betting light, his realistic 5 bet range is AK, QQ+, and that's being liberal; we wouldn't have enough equity to call off.

I 4bet half of my AQo. The way I do this is I have a suit of the ace that I use. If I have that suit it's my 4 bet combo.

AQs I think just plays better overall in position so I prefer calling. With shorter stacks I'll 4 bet more however as there's less maneuverability post and I don't mind getting it in anyways.

With bdfd and broadway plus one overcard that's likely good(don't know if it's the A or Q), I'm calling flop and making him play his ranges on the turn in position.

You have a strong range you can rep on this board as well because you can have all sets and all the overpairs too, so I'm not going anywhere.

@sixseven yeah, agreed.

@Mrspy Yea, I don't think it's terrible flatting AQs here either, in position and with our stack sizes. That was my thinking during the hand.. although I can get behind a 4bet as well.

I floated the flop and folded when villain fired on a blank turn (5s).
