AQo TPTK facing 1/4 pot bet AQo TPTK facing 1/4 pot bet

Another AQ hand.

Hero on BTN with AQo. $200 effective stacks
UTG bets $18
UTG+2 goes all-in for $36
Hero calls

Flop ($102) comes QT8
UTG bets $25
Hero calls

Turn ($152) comes A
Hero bets $100
UTG goes all-in
Hero calls with remaining ~$50

Not sure about my turn call, and in general I'm not sure what to make of < 1/2 pot bets. Interested in how y'all would deal with the following variations of the turn:

V bets 1/3 pot or less -- personally I would minraise
V bets 1/4 pot -- I think I should have minraised here too instead of calling; though I was trying to avoid scaring off a Q with weak kicker
V bets 1/2 pot to 1 PSB -- I would call

Preflop looks like the biggest question to me. UTG is never folding is you flat call the $36 and your AQo is not going to be happy on many flops. You need to raise to isolate UTG+2 or fold. Which is better depends on what you know about UTG and UTG+1. Against unknowns I would just fold, AQo won't play well post flop in this situation.

The flop situation is weird and really depends on what you know about villain. This could be a probing bet with AK/JJ type hand seeing if you are interested in the pot, it could be a blocking bet if villain as something like AcKc or it could be a monster like AA/QQ trying to get more money in the pot. In other situations it could be air but this is a protected pot. For the same reason this is less likely to be a probing bet.

The turn call is obvious, at that point you have too much invested and pot odds are too good to give up. The outside chance villain has AK or AQ also is enough to call.

All the betting in this hand seems strange to me. This is a $1/2 game right? So I'd give a lot of credit to 9x UTG and an all-in raise after. Yes, they might be playing silly games - but you don't have a penny invested yet and all the cards will be exposed for you to learn more about their play... so I'd have folded the AQ pf (but maybe that's just me - i prefer a less gambly kind of game).

As played and to respond to your question about the 1/4 pot bet. I think these are usually monsters (trying to induce), or blockers. My usual approach is to smooth call and see what happens next street. If the better backs off - then I'll assume he's got nada and whack the pot (this is essentially what you did). If he bets big... normally I'd be gone.

As played, the 50 raise at the end is a no-brainer. You have top 2 and outs (if you're behind) + its $50 into $352.

Ugh, sorry, I meant the flop call, not the turn.

This was indeed an unknown -- it was one of my first few hands at the table.

And I forgot to mention the stakes as well -- it's 1/2/3.

You're never folding here with an SPR of 1.5 and TPTK on the flop. ($165 stack, $108 pot)

Question is about the flop play.. I think there is a high chance V is setting the price to draw to the turn. Shove if you think V will call with a draw, TPGK, or if you have bluffs in your range.

You can also call with the intention to shove on all turn cards.
