I'm curious what you mean by "opposite of what seems like proper play?" Do you mean in the sense that it's rare for donk bets to be recommended? In general cards that complete draws favor the caller and it's reasonable to have a donk betting strategy. I think you would do fine turning anything less than top pair into a bluff, especially with a heart, but I would size bigger.

xtra - this is precisely y you should never show a "tough fold"

I absolutely love playing against people that love to show how good they are by folding big hands and showing.

You can in fact adjust against them and play position like a boss, esp when scare cards come and it will take them a very long time (if ever) to re adjust.

Skwid - ya, definitely agree. I feel the same way. I think this guy was just trying to be friendly by showing me the QQ hand, but it’s a pretty big mistake to do that. I’m never against friendly conversation, but I’m there to play for xtra paycheques, not xtra friends.

Browni - I guess by ‘opposite of what seems like the proper play’ I mean making plays that are somewhat idiotic in theory in an attempt to level thinking players because the play makes very little sense with most hands. If I can take down pots like this OOP by betting less than 1/2 pot I should crush players like this whether I have it not. But I agree that whether it’s value or bluff, my sizing should be a bit bigger.
If this guy called turn, I almost definitely would of overbet jammed almost any river card to further polarize my play.
