Horseshoe NL 1/2
Hero has $550. It's been a luckbox afternoon for Hero who has steadily been winning for 3 hours. 2 newer players sat down who are friends (from what I can tell). Both BGs in their 40s. I don't know them and I hear them say "flip, yeah let's flip." I watch them. They don't look at their cards. They're UTG and UTG+1. One has $100 and the other has $120. Both bought in for 100 or so.
Hero is on the button with AQ
UTG shoves for 100 and UTG+1 shoves for $120.
Hero is on the button and wants to call with AQ. I still don't know what the BB whose a TAG player and the SB are going to do. SB likes to raise every hand he plays though but plays only 25% of hands. I've only known him for a couple of hours. My image is that of a nit to a lot of guys (which sucks). I hoped by calling it'd help with my image. Is it worth it?

Answer is obvious, although it might be a bit scummy if everyone knows they’re trying to flip

This game has potential, wish I was there.

We could make it $240 to go and isolate against the two all-in flipping villains.

Of course we don't know about the SB and BB but we are the button with AQ, we gotta play.

Vs any two cards we only need K10 to be 55-45 against one player.

Maybe it's just me but I don't go play cards to fold AQ on the button against two guys who haven't seen their cards yet - at least one of whom, and maybe both if we call and hold - are going to immediately rebuy.

"I'm in there with you guys," and toss the money in nonchalantly.

Is it scummy? A lot of poker ethics I don't understand intuitively. They did not announce it but I heard them from across the table. I guess shoving there is best but part of me feared BB and SB holdings more than the two flippers.

You want SB/BB to get in there with AJ/AT, KQ type hands, thinking you are just gambling too.

I would shove to isolate.
We might not get to see all 5 cards if we just call here.

Obviously shove. They don't get to suspend the game because they want to gamble. There's plenty of ways to flip for 100 that don't involve everyone else having to wait. Point this out if they get mad.

If they are trying to flip from UTG and UTG+1, they have to expect this to happen.

I'm not sure if I flat or raise. How deep are SB and BB?

Probably best to just gii.

Yah I flat to let a hand like AJ/AT or even an underpair shove from the SB/BB thinking they can isolate and force us out.

...and then we SNAP

Gold! I'm saving this comeback in the mental rolladex. Thanks.

As it turned out I called. Both SB and BB did fold but I think shove is great advice. I need to remember that. It ran out 5-5-9-10-2
Gambler 1 turned over 58 offsuit and took it down. Oh well, I was way ahead. The other guy had 37 off. 120 gone but it was the correct decision.

You’re too attached to the money in absolute terms. Your hand is so strong that SB/BB really don’t matter.

If you had QJo it would probably be a shove too.
