Hero (400) laggy image, young white mid twenties
Villain (400) old reg, competent straightforward player, plays pretty tag abc poker, never really seen him get out of line
3 limps to Hero in mp who raises to (14), v calls on button, bb calls.
Flop ($45) A
9
5
Hero bets $25...(I know should be 35-40 sizing blahhhhh bla)
Villain looks like he wants to fold but calls, bb folds.
Turn ($95) J
aka really bad card
Hero bets $55....should I take a c/c line here and c/f or evaluate river instead or is bet folding like I intended better?
River($200ish) 3
Hero checks, villain bets $125......
We each have about 300 behind, is bet folding say 80 better than c/c or c/f
I'm ranging v on flushes, worse aces but when he bets river feels like AJ, I think he raises flop or turn with sets/2pairs so I just can't figure out what I beat here.
My main question is turn play in these spots when flush drawn come in. How bad is it to give free cards in these spots in attempts in pot control? These spots seem to really be my Achilles heel when playing out of position.
Any input appreciated thanks
