Are you for real?

Who is going to fold holding top pair for another $175 in a $350 pot?

Hero just sat down to 1/3 table with $350 and opens KK UTG, two callers and BTN (unknown rec middle aged BM) 3! $30, hero $175, folds to V who puts his hands up and jams $350 eff. I snap to setmine.

OK?

Thanks,

DT

Four bet size is terrible. You’re basically letting opponent play perfect against you: get in when he has KK+ and fold when he doesn’t.

looks like OP has realised this thread is ridiculous and is trying to troll his way out.

don't think he learned a thing though

Okay re-reading thread I’m convinced DT is a troll at this point.

I generally do not participate in strat threads. This is pretty much why. Congrats - you have just joined mike starr on my ignore list

Sorry, squid. It started as a legit post since I knew I botched the hand. The last two replies were supposed to be @leobzook's comment but oh well, I guess it got out of hand for you. :/

This has be a 100% troll. There is no way that you call off your stack to "set mine". If you're calling whilst making that statement then you know that you're beat... drawing at best to 2 outs....hmmm

If this is a legitimate post, then it's obvious that you overplayed your KK.

I saw the same type of hand the other day when KK 5! after one player re-raised the initial KK!. Got stacked in a Ł1300 pot against AA

It's not always fun to have to fold KK, but sizing down pre would be better. Potentially check the flop. If it's check check on the flop, you could potentially be up against AK, AQ, JJ, QQ, 10s as overpairs tend to get bet on the flop. Mostly I've seen AK check on the flop if it's not connected. But, having said this, I like to trap with a flop c/r or raise if the call means they are committed.

Hmmm... the recs and fish are calling you over to their table... they have a seat for you...

Not sure what this is all about Dumbo but...

You know me, and I dislike the open UTG. If the Button didn't reraise we'd be going 4+ ways to a bloated pot OOP with a rather handcuffing SPR of < 6 having given everyone awesome IO of 26+:1, so the nut low result, imo. I just limp in, but that's me obviously.

I'd probably reraise to about $90ish or so to setup about a PSB shove on the flop.

Facing the all-in sucks, especially if it was me and my super nit image and this huge EP 4bet sizing. But we committed ourselves with our sizing (and I think it's actually pretty close to having to call even if he shows us AA although I haven't exactly mathed).

Maybe you all should math it.

ETA: I took a quick and dirty shot at it. Facing this shove, I believe we need about 24% equity, but if Villain shows us non-flush dominating AA we only have 19% equity. Still, very close to a setmining spot, especially when you factor in the times he could be doing this with worse. Hardly "lol @ setmining spot" that everyone is making it out to be.

Thanks gg. Didn’t they make Socrates eat hemlock too?

Like I said above, this started as a legit post - albeit with some snark. The last couple posts were just silly. Sorry if I offended anyone.
