2€/2€ cash game, 10 players

Stacks 200€-500€, hero is the short stack with 140€. Hero has been severely card dead for two hours in addition to being generally tighter than the rest of the table. Everyone has noticed.

Villain is UTG+2, not much history but seems like a good, thinking player. Stack 400€.

UTG+1 opens for 8€. Villain calls, HJ calls.

Hero raises to 30€ on the button with AK. Blinds fold, 3 calls. The pot is 124€.

Flop: 7 7 5

UTG+1 checks, villain bets 40€, HJ folds

Hero: ?

You have 110 left, pot is 164. Probably just need to jam and get ready to re-buy or just fold and top up

Go bigger preflop.

You don't have the best hand on the flop but if you think villain is capable of folding a pair on this flop, then jam. Calling isn't the worst but sometimes you're dead to runner-runner FH outs.

Either jam or just get away from it. 4 ways that just doesn't play very well with that flop.

I would raise bigger pre flop and try to get it to heads up or 3 players at most.

- Bigger Pre
- SPR less than 1 so we're shoving

Fold and top off. You need 32% equity to shove and you’ve got like 27% versus a pair and are drawing nearly dead to trips. This guy isn’t donk/folding for $70 more.

And just rip it in preflop you’ve got $140 and want to see all 5 cards.

SPR 1 so just jamming our no pair/no draw hand. Seems legit.

You guys go freaking crazy with the spr concept. Jamming here is burning the rest of your stack, fold.

Surely we only get called when we're flipping or crushed? We're giving away our positional advantage (however limited at this stack depth) and making it an easy decision for the hands which we'd actually want action from.

Any merit in making it something like 40-45, leaving us about a pot-sized bet in position if we get heads up?
