Regular home game. 1/2 but plays bigger with frequent $10 straddles.

Hero ($1400) has tight winning image.
V1 ($450) is less of a regular and is very tight and straightforward. Not involved much.
V2 (covers) is very loose. Can be aggressive but more of a calling station.

Hero has AK in the SB and is first to act after a $10 button straddle. I raise to $35.

V1 calls in MP. V2 in the CO makes it $100. Button folds.

Hero?

Probably flat and see the flop. You know better than us what his 3! range is, so it kinda depends on that.

^ Yup. See a flop and don’t fold too easily.

If he is loose can't we assume hes not a nit when it comes to 3 betting? Also when you flat call V1 gets a good price to call and AK doesn't play the greatest multiway. I would see this as an easy 4 bet

Flat it, your hand is too good to not see a flop. If you reraise his next move in a home game could be "all in."

I think a flat is the best play (w/o more info on V's raising/3betting tendencies).

Whats V2's range for 3 betting? That's important to know. Based on the description of the player (very loose, a calling station), I am going to compare him to a player that I play with regularly who loses a ton (think $250k+ year), plays a very loose, and call down style of poker.

Comparing your opponent to the opponent I am thinking about, I'd elect to 3bet to $275-$300. I'd expect a call from V2 and a fold from V1.
