Hero is in the LoJack with 220
Villain is in the Cutoff with 270
Villain seems decent and pretty tight
Hero picks up AhKh
Hero opens to 15
Villain 3 bets to 75
Hero…?
Gut reaction is to just 4 bet jam with AKs but hadn’t seen the villain 3 bet a ton that session especially to that size. Have been told that cold 3 beta at these stakes usually means just JJ+ maybe even just AA or KK but not sure how much I should integrate that exploit?
I probably rip given stack sizes and 3b size. I don’t think you’re just up against AA/KK here (pending V description) — the 5x sizing looks a lot like a hand that knows it needs to 3b doesn’t want to see a flop, like AK, JJ.
I'm typically not looking to sit directly OOP to a decent player, although at this stack size it doesn't matter as much.
I'm fine with the open although at very loose / aggro tables I'm also cool with an open limp (to reraise).
Think I'm just jamming here. We put huge pressure on QQ- with huge dead money plus have decent equity. I'm fine with taking coolers against AA/KK on this stack size. And the very fact we included "a haven't seen him 3bet a ton" indicates that he actually has been doing some 3betting (which is not par for the course for most players); what, is this guy getting dealt a big pair every other round? Otherwise, he's a perfect candidate for 4betting against.
