We're essentially calling an additional 250 to win a pot of 342. We need an equity of at least 42% to be break even. Against the ranges I assumed above, our equity is ~33%

When someone who has the reputation of being the biggest nit in this forum (anl!) says shoving is profitable, you should listen more.

It really is quite rare because of blockers that AK faces AA/KK preflop. It certainly happens - did to me last week, actually. But those very few times that it does are no excuse to not play a powerful hand powerfully.

Be the guy who makes AK fold preflop... not the one who folds yourself.

I still don't understand why anyone calls AK vs. PP-range a flip.

Hand 0: 41.794% { AKs, AKo }
Hand 1: 58.206% { 99+, AKs, AKo }

The only flipping you're gonna be doing is flipping burgers when you go broke calling against a never worse range.

oops...**Calling 250 to win 422. We're still not getting 2:1. We need at least 37% equity, so it's still a fold.

If my math is still wrong let me know. I'll quit the thread and walk out with my tail between my legs

Do we have any fold equity here? Will the nit ever fold? If not, we are flipping at best. I fold/
