Hi guys,

THis happened yesterday on my 2/5 live game.

1 limp, I raise PF to 25 w AKo on MP get 2 callers on the blinds, limper folds. Pot is 80.

Flop 548 SB bets 25, he has 50 left, BB folds.

Is it correct to call here?

Is it correct to say I got 5 to 1 pot odds?

If its correct, that would give me the right odds to call even w two overcards, right?

Thanks in advance

FWIW, I never respond to 2/5 NL posts since I don't play those nosebleed stakes.

Given your first two basic odds questions, you shouldn't either.

in addition to pot odds you should also be thinking about your opponent's range, and what you're odds are vs his range first, then see if the pot odds are giving you at least those odds. Do you have any reads on him and what his range is?

Depends on range, suits of all cards (backdoor equity?), and player image.

Small donk lead indicates a pretty wide range which may be difficult to estimate unless there is history/read on the opponent. If you call, his other $50 is likely going in OTT.

I'd likely fold given the configuration, i.e. opponent is leading into 2 players, one of them being the PFR.

You’re calling $25 to win $130 but you’re only likely to see 1 card for that price. If you have any fold equity, it’s probably better to shove flop and rep an overpair but I don’t think you have any fold equity here unless your opponent is pretty awful and super nitty. If V has any pair at all (he donk bet into two players oop so he probably does) then you’re not getting the odds to call. He probably shoves his flush draws and combo draws.

If you shove and he calls, you need 33% equity against his range and I can’t see you having that. Feels like an easy spot to fold and move on.

854 is very different than even 874. On 874 there's way more OESD that your opponent can elect to try this with. There's a lot less high equity bluffs on this texture.

Of course the SPR in this scenario is 1, so it could be just fine to call this small bet and call off if the turn isn't a 6/7. But in practice, you aren't sacrificing much money to fold even in rosy scenarios, so go ahead and let him have it.
