MGM national harbor 1/3. relatively loose-passive table, preflop and postflop.

V: middle pos. a little too aggressive preflop, as well as plays too many hands preflop. showed down K7s, Q9s both from middle position in previous opens, but also QQ, KK, AA over 4 hours. No hands shown that V opened were crazy bad though, K7s and Q9s were the worst hands. not a small open either, V always opens to 20. very frequently calls opens. I would say V opens about 30% of hands, and plays about 50% of hands. Medium aggression. Usually bets out with top pairs+, nut draws. Difficult to assess bluff frequency, as most of the hands that i'm not in so far have gone very multiway, I would say for an average of 4 players to the flop. Not sure if V adjusts bluff frequency heads up vs 5 way. Chases too hard postflop: once called an over pot sized all in with just a flush draw, no overs. once showed a whiffed open ender on the river with the statement "thats why i kept snap calling you" note: this comment is important for the hand later. Has about 450. V is an attractive young black girl **hey if you're reading this

Hero: have been relatively card dead. have played about 5-10 hands in 3 hours. High aggression when in the hands. No showdowns yet. Hero is a young asian man. Covers V.

onto the hand:

Hero wakes up wit AdKc in the small blind. 3 limps to hero, one of them being V. Raises to 25. V calls.

pot 50.
Flop: A67csd.

I cbet 40. V snap calls (remember the comment i said about snap calling before??)

pot: 130

Turn: 8s.

I turn cbet 60. I announce the word 60 out loud, and V quickly reraises by stating "120" out loud. Now, while the pot odds are insanely good to call, every live tell instinct in my blood is telling me that this player is now strong. I can't remember the last time a player exactly min raised me with a bluff. I think that was another concerning thing, was how this min raise was a snap min raise? My gut is telling me V has a straight, but i call anyway, with the hope V will not bet.

pot: 370

River: 7d

Seems like this wouldn't change all too much since I highly doubt villain would raise a naked 7. I check and then V moves in for about 250. My thoughts here were that since V is raising so wide pre, I think she would raise any ace A9+. Which leaves the only aces that I beat are A2-A5. would V really snap min raise a 8 or 6 on the turn? Would players who have been playing like V so far go all in on river with missed spades, given my image and play surely I have a strong ace here?

Hero??

Folded in game, so I don't know the results.

This is essentially never a worse ace like A2-A5 or a missed draw. You beat counterfeit two pair and that’s about it. We can call river is if we assume that villain is either a maniac or they fast play a lot of their flopped two pair/sets and bluff all of their counterfeit two pair on the river. I probably fold river.

Assuming you have V covered I believe 3b or fold would be better on the turn. Calling leaves you in no mans lands unless you’ll already committed and planning on inducing, which clearly wasn’t your plan. As played, have to fold.

I'm also looking for the exit on the turn. Not so much based on the live read, but based on general population dynamic that a call on the flop and a raise (especially minraise) OTT from an unskilled player is very, very likely to have TP crushed.

AP, I think the river fold is mandatory.

Lol, love the shout out in the read, go go go imo!

Against straightforward players, I'm fine with preflop.

We probably don't have to bet so much on the flop.

Turn is a trivial bet/fold against an ABC player. She's never bluffing or overvalueing here, imo.

I don't get to the river but I also fold.

since we bet a fairly big flop bet and he 'snaps', what hands do we put him that we beat? probably ATs+, other than that we are far behind sets.

ill bet 30 flop and if he calls, i will most like check call or fold turn depending on his sizing.

as played, fold river.
