Against described villain, I'm going to call and hope he doesn't have JJ/KK/AA.

As described, this guy isn't a genius, and could easily be overplaying something terrible. If he got there, he got there, but you have to be willing to play back at this player type with a strong non-nutted hand, and this seems like a reasonable spot to do it at.


The other example you mentioned where you got coolered with 99, I think you overplayed that. I would peel the turn for sure, but against an unknown player raising a strong bet, I'd exercise a lot of caution.

I think calling the flop raise breaches commitment. It's a fold or commit issue.

He makes it $66. I call. That's $132. Plus the preflop - $45ish. So $175 with a remaining bet of $120ish. That's SPR of <1.

So I think it's a fold or, as I played, shove. No in between IMO.
