Effective stacks $220 (Hero covers)
V raises to $7 UTG + 1
5 people call
Hero re-raises to $50 from the BB with AK
Only V calls
I got a great flop of K72 rainbow, shoved the flop hoping V would call with KQ or an emotionally attached pp like queens, but he folded. Is shoving that flop right or should I have slowplayed it thinking that my shove would only be called by better and get worse to fold? Keep in mind that balancing ranges has absolutely no bearing.
Against hands > AK with SPR less than 2, hands play themselves. So it really doesn't matter.
So the remaining question is how to max rest of V's range.
-What's V's range?
-What's your perceived range?
Board is about as dry as possible with no straight/flush draw possibility. So the only hands in which V could hold and call are Kx and PP.
Given the action, Kx doesn't have many remaining combos that we beat: KQ (8), KJ (8), and we can probably discount KJ quite a bit, even in 1/2. So realistically, we're probably looking at 12 combos total.
PP should have a bunch, 22+, because you just need to hit your card to win, eh? PP that we beat, 22 - QQ, 54 combos.
So 82% of his range are hands that you could probably extract value against, but are obviously sensitive to a big bet.

That's only 14 combos out of possible 66 for roughly 21% of his overall range that you're targeting.
Shove.

SPR concept would play pretty well in these positions.
