I used to think AK was a trouble hand and hated to get it all in preflop. Obviously it depends the situations, but by using combinatorics you can see it is a pretty good hand.
With AK we narrow down our opponents hands considerably:
There are only 6 combinations that crush us (AA and KK)
We are racing against 18 combinations (TT, JJ, QQ)
We are tied or ahead of 21 combinations (AK and AQ)
IF include AJ we are ahead of another 12.
Assuming we're at a live 1/2 NL passive fish table, then we're in pretty good shape.. Did I make any mistakes here?
