I like the 3bet, but this is a flop check.

This is one of the few situations that I advise slow playing a hand. When we 3bet out the SB, we are repping an A/KQJ or pocket pair. When we lead out, the VAST majority of our range can't handle a raise here, either we missed the flop or flopped an underpair to the jack. He might even think his underpair is good and raises to "see where he is at" which leaves us in the awkward position we are in now.

A bet on the flop doesn't actually even get much value from anything that we dominate other than the very unlikely Jx. Even if he has a straight draw or flush draw, we are likely at best coin flipping with the number of outs his draws have plus the fact that the likely range of hands that call the 3 bet AND flop a draw are ALSO going to have an overcard to the jack for additional outs.

I like playing the hand like I had AK by getting to the river and bombing it like I am bluffing.

100bb? If I was to 3bet this hand, and get basically one of the best possible flops for it, I´m not b/f. no way.

do you always go broke for 100bb's with a one pair hand? just curious.

If I 3bet pre and get such a flop, I guess so, esp readless. snap raise is a bit suspicious, but if I don´t plan on continuing here, I basically don´t have a continuing range besides JJ (and Ahigh fd to a lesser degree). seems suboptimal.

that said, I´m an online plo player with too much money and play live holdem only when drunk, so take my spewy advices fwiw
