Re: AdQd on the button with HJ open repost

Yeah seems like I can get away from it on the flop, especially when he raises the donk bet from BB. I just have to get back into the habit of folding when I think I'm beat. Believe it or not I think I used to play slightly better a few years ago than I am running / playing now, or maybe I was bad to begin with lol. Thanks all for your advice I hope my pokering gets unrusty and I start to value top pair top kicker hands a little less and consider stack sizes before stacking off in these spots

You should pretty much always stack off TPTK with this stack size, and this is a very good flop. I just think min-raises from the pre-flop raiser are scary, at least in my player pool.

If the action went BB $25 and shove I would happily stack off because I think he can have more TP hands and air. If the pfr was OOP and a cold caller min-raised, I would happily stack off.

I might stack off here, too, I'm just not happy about it and I don't think a conservative fold is bad. This hand is a cooler and the only reason you can get away from it is with a read that min-raises are very strong.

Re: AdQd on the button with HJ open repost

sometimes there are spots where I make the mistake of felting TPTK or even TP2ndK and a lot of the time it costs me money. Against strong multi way action on a dry board they are mostly bluff catching.
Here, would probably fold for proper stacks. The reason to consider calling is such shallow stacks, but I would probably still fold.
