I have had success at lower stakes $1/$2 , $1/$3 and $2/$5 games but have seen some frustration latley with not being able to protect my hands pre flop or post flop!? I am seeing several pf callers and multible callers on supsequent street. Its not my image as ive lnserved this happing to alot of other players at different stakes during different games and various times.( and casinos)Spoke to several dealer from multible casinos and they claim that is the directions the games are going!? Inflated pots = multible callers= inflated pots = wider ranges = huge variance etc. I just cant seem to find where im at in alot of these hands? I have over pair to a rainbow drawless flop and still get 2-3 callers ? Any suggestions or advice? Anyone else seeing this trend? Im not uncomfortable multiway but it just feels like every pot is hugely contested now?thank you in advace

You just have to adjust to it dude. Mix up you game and get into those multi-way situations with hands other than AQ or JJ. How many times do you see a hand like 68 suited win those big ones?? A LOT is the answer.

Play looser pre with position and tighter post in those multi-ways. If you do end up with an over pair in a multiway, don't be afraid to fire a huge barrel on the flop. If someone can raise or c-raise a pot sized bet, it's easy enough to put your hand in the muck. If you fire a big barrel and get multi callers, it's ok to assess the situation and take a c-call, bet-fold, or c-fold line depending on the action and reads.

how deep are you? assuming 100bb deep, i'd raise pre with only TT+, AQ+ from all positions and bet bet bet and stackoff with overpairs on most boards. they just wont hit often enough for you not to stackoff on a reasonable flop. if it comes like JT9 and you have AA against 4 people, then you can check fold but that is rare. you can limp in late position with a somewhat wide range, but play very tight OOP. these are some of the most profitable games but you have to adjust correctly. if you are playing optimal, most of the people will see you as a nit (but pay you off anyways)

Dont expect Villains to fold preflop. On the flop, Villains will rarely fold a pair/draw. Since this is the case, would you rather protect your hand or get value from it?

1) Open larger.

2) Play better in multi-way pots.

Really, that's it. i know it can get frustrating, but there's no secret.
