I've been grinding online for the past 12 months. I've played 400k hands of holdem cash with a 4bb overall winrate. Mostly 50NL, 100NL, and about 30k hands of 200NL, with a winrate of 3-12bbs.
Due to ongoing tilt issues online I am going to give live a shot. I enjoy playing live and really don't tilt at all, though the game is painfully slow. Current BR is $5k.
A few questions:
What sort of adjustments should I make when playing 500NL live compared to online?
If three guys limp and I have a hand like 89s should I be popping it up every time or limping behind? Wouldn't limping be begging to get iso'd by someone in LP?
What about a hand like 22-88 in EP? Limp/call getting better implied odds or come in for an open? I feel like live if you open 22 utg to $20 and someone makes it $80, I am just mucking every time 100bb deep.
Then again, limping that sort of hand also makes it face up but are the droolers even paying attention to this?
The games I play are 10 handed in South FL at the Isle casino in Pompano Beach. I've played a bit of 1/2NL and a few 2/5NL sessions live with pretty good success but I haven't played at all since my game has gotten significantly better in the last few months.
BTW, the casino won't give me a safety deposit box because I don't play enough. Assuming I had a great night and could potentially have a few grand on me... are you guys concerned about that? I will valet my car and obviously keep an eye on anyone who appears to be following me. I do have a weapon permit but I don't plan on carrying, nor would I leave a firearm in the car if I am valeting or parking my car.
Thanks for the help
