I think I fold here. If the turn bricks, you're almost never seeing a cheap river. And I don't think the stacks are deep enough to give you the right implied odds. The flush is the most obvious draw out there, so if it hits you probably don't get paid off very often.

I think I had two options and calling wasn't one of them

Jam or fold. Limp/c pre seems like a leak but also something I do often. Would like to hear other opinions on this.

Oh it definitely is a leak and I rarely do it, I remember telling myself this is the kind of awkward spot you deserve for limp/calling

If you flat you need close to 4:1 on your money. Diamond comes on the turn 20% of the time. You are getting under 3.5:1 on your money but there's enough implied odds to justify a call.

However, two issues:

SB flat seems like a competing draw. If it's another flush draw it really hurts your chances as you now only have 16% to hit the turn. (Although it raises your implied odds dramatically as you can take his stack if a diamond hits)

BTN could easily have KK/QQ here or SB could be flatting with bottom set. Or who knows CO could have flopped bottom set. If there's a set anywhere out there then even if you hit the turn they have a nice 10 out re-draw on you.

Shoving I think is pretty bad. BTN most of the time has AA/KK/QQ/AK and is just going to call you. I think fold is probably best.

I liked shoving a lot more than calling

I'm not tossing 55 in there just to wince at a turn card and be put in an even more awkward spot, id prefer to get my money in and have two cards

Slim possibility they put me on bottom set and fold

Or possibility I shove and get 2 callers where I'd be getting 4:1

Raise Preflop or just Fold.

This is a spot were I like calling more than shoving because if we shove we might fold out the weaker flush draw (CO or SB) and isolating us against a strong made hand (Button). Therfefore I Call and play the turn depending on board texture and action. I do think we have enough Implieds here to make the call.

My back of the envelope math says to jam it in here. Everytime you get called by either 0,2, or 3 players is a huge win. On average, you'll come out ahead.

I am not sure I am in favor of shoving here, especially if you hope to get 2 callers. We probably lose CO (unless he is a monster in which case we are in serious trouble), and if button has anything he is shoving and trying to block out SB.

Also in live poker, villians are less likely/unlikely to call off on a draw, even if they are getting the proper odds. So chances of getting 2 callers here seems quite ambitions to say the least.

I also just open limp at most passive loose tables. I'm not thrilled about facing a raise, but I still call. We'll be in a 4way pot for an ~okish price, although we do have meh position.

I would also just check this flop. Even though we have an overpair + nut flush draw, this board could have smacked the raiser (so we probably have little FE). Wow, that's a lotta flop action. If CO calls, we'll be getting immediate odds of 4:1, so even though undoubtedly some of our outs are dead (someone else might be sucking up flush outs and board pairing outs might be no good), I think I still call unless I think CO might ship it here. If we hit pot will simply be too big for everyone to fold, so I think our implieds are pretty good.

ETA: If we call and the CO just calls, the pot will be $270 and stacks will range from $135 - $235 (so less than a PSB left). Even if obvious flush draw completes on the turn, I just don't think any of these stacks is typically folding as they'll feel the pot is too big to lay down sets / two pairs and obviously straights/flushes. So I think our implied odds are ok. With this much action, we should have zero FE. If we knew a shove would get called in all 3 spots, then it would actually be +EV (cuz we're putting in 1/4 of the money into a pot we'll probably win about ~1/3 of the time); but I've rarely seen a flop shove get called in 3 spots before. And if it looks like CO is itching to get chips in, maybe a fold is better. Interesting spot, but I *think* calling is best.

This is pretty difficult. I personally want every possible soul in this hand if I decide I want to put all my money in eventually for implied odds.

If you shove, you at least have two cards to come, and hoping that if someone doesn't have a set, boats up. And if you fold, you're only losing 12 dollars and you may very well be against another with diamond draw that narrows your outs.

If you do shove, you want everyone in this pot that's possible, that's for sure. Maybe just making it 85 can entice the CO to call because we know if you do this that the button and SB are coming also, or maybe they might bump it back against you which is even better because a scare card might come on the turn for one of these villians (rarely given how much everyone is committed).

Either way, if you do want to get your money in for this, there's a good chance that anyone with a set is coming with you, so if you did put the CO on a set, he's going to be coming also, so don't be afraid about scaring him off.

I don't think there's anyway of scaring off a set here, so it's pretty much a gambling situation.

I ended up shoving because I really didn't want to be in that spot on the turn if it bricked

Co shoves button shoves SB folds

Co KQ holds up against AK and diamond draw

I think I'd do it again if in that spot but folding pre is obviously better

Shoving, dont think its all that close. As mentioned, the only "bad" result is getting Called by 1 player. Anything more and we likely have our fair share of equity. If they all fold, well that's cool too.
Calling is worst of three options as mentioned.

Correction. I fold and put my money in on a better situation. More times than none, someone is going to raise all in on the turn and scare away at least one opponent, and you need their money also to make this worth while. 22% chance you'll come out on top against a set because you're probably only looking at 7 outs due to someone else probably have two diamonds. You'll be risking a lot only to make around 2.5 times more. Not worth it.

I actually like calling for reasons mentioned. I'm surprised that people think calling is the worst because the odds look good enough to call.

I think folding is the worst play here. We have a lot of equity in a big pot against multiple opponents, and we're just going to fold? Somebody is going to lose their stack here if we hit.

I feel like when we call pre we're in essence set mining. We're only comfortable w/2pr+...so here it's how much gamble you got. I don't like flatting bc I want to see 2cards and the river won't be cheap. As stated shove or fold, I'm folding now keeping my chips then spewing tilt-awhirl steez for the next few hours after the spade 5holes the turn and the river doesn't pair but that's just me lol.
