It's getting late on a Wed. session and the $1/$2 table is 5-handed. Hero has $800 behind. Is playing more aggressive since it's short-handed and have won a number of hands PF, either from taking blinds or 3-betting people off hands.

Villain is a middle aged white guy who just sat down and hadn't seen me build my stack by playing TAG. Might think I'm a maniac based on my PF action. He has $300 behind so I've got him covered OTTH

Folded to Hero in the button with AcAh. Raise to $6. V1 in SB raises to $20 and BB folds. Hero raises to $50 and V1 calls. Might be a looser 3-betting range but I still find people don't get too crazy at $1/$2.

Js Th 3d ($100) V1 checks and hero bets $50. V1 raises to $120. If I call this, he only has $130 behind. Pot would be $340 on the turn.

Is this just a sigh and fold? JJ and TT both got there, clearly in his 3-bet range. Or is he doing this enough with KQs, AJ, KK, QQ to call down?

Can’t fold, yes he has TT/JJ, he also has QQ maybe KK to value bet plus whatever else he likes the look of.

Raise/4bet more if your live poker plays like my LOL live poker.

Easy ship.

There's way more combos of KK and QQ so never folding with this SPR. I've seen seemingly tight OMC types spaz with AJ/KQ in this exact spot.

Bigger pre both times. Most llsnl players suck at 3b/f.

You need to pile it in now. Unless you peg him as a nit he has TT+, AJs, KQs and that's wide enough to gii.

Way bigger pre first time around. As played, 4b sizing is fine imo being ip. Others have already stated why, but get it in.

Thanks guys! That's good to know. Yeah I tend to make bad calls versus check-raises, so I've been looking for more opportunities to fold. But sounds like this is one that would be justified to get the money in, based on his range.

$65-$80 pre - If you were shallower $50 is fine but too deep to do $50

As played call or jam, doesn't really mater.
