First time posting, thanks in advanced for replies. This is one hand from recent Vegas trip that sticks out in my mind as being misplayed. Is there a fold on turn? not much info on villain style.

utg limps
utg+1 limps
Hero (200) on Button Raises to 15 with AA (game has been playing loose)
Villain (140) in sb calls
limpers call.

Flop is 10 6 7 rainbow

checks around to me. i bet 30.

Villian calls, others folded.

Turn 3 and Villian sticks in 40 leaving him about 50 behind.

I jam reluctantly hoping I'm ahead of jj or A10 but obv behind flopped strt or sets.

He snaps with 45 suited.

We have top overpair. Stacks are only 70BB deep. SPR on flop is ~2. Never folding.

I would bet larger on the flop, say 45-50, which sets up a trivial turn shove.

With the stacks this short, it is ok. If the stacks were deeper, then your jam would have been a mistake. I'd get out of the habit of jamming turns with TP or an OP. When called, you're going to lose the vast majority of the time. As played, he was going to put the remaining money in anyway on the river and there was no way you could fold.
