OP, you´re an idiot. both in poker and in life probably.

I hope this thread doesn't get locked. The "outrage" is hilarious to me.

If you're doing things right, you don't need to worry about your lady, and it wouldn't bother you what anyone else does.

If you're insecure or sensitive about this....THAT kind of thinking.... is why your wife thinks about other guys.

Who cares about the wife. For all any of us know they could be open. It's not relevant so who cares...

Let's talk more about this awful 3! for information.

What information does it ever provide:

If he calls?
If he ships?

There is no real answer, which is why it's bad. He could call or ship with any 5, 8, overpair, FD, SD. Sometimes even with ANY pair. Prior to your 3!, a lot of your range is big As, so you miss this a good % of the time, so he could even turn 2s, 3s, 4s, 6s, or 7s into a value bet/semi bluff. Do I think he would do that them ship? Probably not, but I've seen players crack worse under less stress

The only reason to 3! this is to basically commit yourself to felting him (unless he folds along the way) or getting felted, there is zero other reason to 3!

I agree, the three bet was pretty bad. Bad reasoning, bad play. But once he four bets, how the hell can I call?

I don't know how much time you've all spent watching $1/2 NL, but how many hours do you tihnk you would have to watch before you saw a flop 4 bet on a paired board, between two unknown players, that was NOT a full house.

I'll bet if you've played somewhere in the neighborhood of 150,000 hours of 1/2NL, then you've probably seen a non full house make this play about three times ever.

Because that is why you should 3! here in the first place.

Completely disagree.

In bad player thinking (which is a vast majority of 1/2): You'll see a naked 5 do this way way way more often than a FH. A FH knows he's ahead and there is a propensity to slow play it, while a 5 knows that he is screwed if a flush comes out because he knows you have a FD so he wants to get you out before you draw out on him.

The correct way to play this if you have a FH is to do exactly what V does (if he in fact has a FH), assess that your opponent has a big hand and can't lay it down (not saying you can or can't, a majority of 1/2 players will not lay down AA here) and then get them to put all their money in the middle drawing to 2 outs.

This would be a super sick line and read by V if he has 55, because that is just burning money most of the time

Thread closed because... well... OP is a genius at poker and getting people's wives and what not.

Find that adultery thread and take it there please.

Cliffs:

OP 3bet and knew it was bad
Asks what to do now
People say you can't 3bet fold here, it's bad
OP says, "Nah-ah... It's a boat.... and I had all your wives."

Cool story, bro.
