Just moved to the table as there were a number of big stacks. I passed on posting my BB.

V: Has $250 or so, hard to say as it all in one tall red tower. Younger guy, maybe 28-32. He folded the first two hands I was at the table.

H: I should be totally unknown. Just sat down. The only thing I've done is pass on paying my BB as that's the hand I sat down. (Covers)

Pre:
V limps in the HJ
Hero raises to $13 with A8o
V calls

Flop ($25): K82
V checks
H bets $17
V calls

Turn ($57): 8
V checks
H bets $43
V calls

River ($143): 2
V checks
H bets $80

Looks good, might go 110$ to try to make it seem like I'm trying to fold out a chop

Pre is fine but probably close to the bottom of your iso range, especially facing an unknown.

Post-flop looks good. I think the flop is a good bet because you probably have the best hand, you don't want to see a card between an 8 and K on the turn, and while it's hard to say villain will really call with much worse, he will call with some worse and be will also fold hands with lots of equity, like broadway hands. So I'm very inclined to bet this flop. I'd happily check the flop behind with a hand like QQ, which is more truly WA/WB.

Betting every street is good. Only mistake here is not sizing to get all in by river.

Turn is OK sizing, but you could do 50-55. That should help set up a river shove.

Either way, you should shove the river. I do think he calls an overbet less often, so again, turn should be larger, but I still shove as played.

River bet too small.

I fold pre, but I'm a nit.

Okay otf and ott.

OTR, V is either c/f or c/c anything. I just shove, it's $177 into $143 it's not even a ridiculous overbet, but even if it were, V is putting in $0 or all of it.

Everything looks good but like a river bet of about $110-$125....

So, I'd like to point out I don't actually know how much the V had. I couldn't get a great count of his stack as it was in one tall tower of red chips. He could have had as much as $300 or as little at $220. On the river it looked like about $200.

Having said that, what part of his range are we targeting with the $120 bets, or even the shove here that some people are advocating?

I don't think he should ever show up here with a 2 unless he's just lol terrible, which he didn't give off that impression. If he's got an 8, he's never folding, and it's a chop, so it doesn't matter what I bet. Shouldn't we be targeting all the KX, and PP 99-QQ type hands that he has in his range? I think that calling range is more elastic. I think there are some hands in that range that call for $50 or $80 that fold $120 or $150.

The pot is headsup and you were the original raiser....I don't think he's putting you on an 8. So the larger bet looks like a bluff IMO....given this I still like the $120 bet or an all in depending on his stack size. You're targeting still Kx, 99-QQ....believe if he's calling $60 here most likely he's calling down $120...go for more value. Don't believe he has a 2 either but even better.
