3/5 500 max bet. Hero is a regular probably considered on the tighter side. I have been reasonably card dead and so I haven’t been very active. Table has changed over pretty recently and V hasn’t been at the table long. V is somewhat of a fish. Calling with a very wide range pre including both limping and calling raises. Can be sticky post flop with any piece. V has about $675 to start and I cover.

Straddle is on. Two limps to me on the button and I make it $45 with A4 BB, straddle and two limpers call. V is two off the button.

Flop ($140): 9 7 3

Checked to me and I bet $100. Only V calls.

Turn ($340): Q

V checks. Hero?

Seems like pot on flop is too small...$180ish?

I would check back this flop close to 100% of the time vs 3 opponents. As the pre flop raiser, this board misses you a lot and so I think you will be called relatively light.

Turn looks pretty and might be a good card to barrell (K would be better). I think I check it back though and see what the river brings. If the turn were something like the 2 or 5, then I think betting makes more sense with increased equity, but just not sure you will get a fold often to bet again. Not only that, but we are probably to shallow to b/f here so that makes me even less likely to fire again.

The pot is $225 on the flop if the action given is correct. If so, turn pot is $425 and remaining stacks are $530.

Arguments could be made for overbet jamming, betting a more normal amount, or even checking back.

You kinda put yourself in a tough spot by raising smallish pre with relatively shallow stacks. The flop c-bet only compounds the mistake which leads us to the awkward turn decision.

This is very similar to 6betme’s T9s on the BTN hand. When you raise speculative hands with shallow effective stacks it leads to awkward turn decisions like this one.

I’m not liking the flop bet either. You’re last to act lets see a free turn. Flop doesn’t really hit your precieved range anyways, it actually favors your opponents.

Check flop. Check turn.

Shoving turn might be slightly +EV but checking vs a sticky opponent should be more +EV. If we spike a heart or an A we get paid unusually often.

Overlimp pre; don't iso here with weak hands.

Check flop. You have zero fold equity.

Check turn.
