preflop
Folded to hero OTB. Hero limps A2
SB folds. BB checks.

Flop (10): 699
Check. Check

Turn (10): 8
Check. Check.

River (10) T

BB now leads 10. BB is a tight rec player. Doesn't put money in light. Got stacked previous hand and re-bought for 500. Hero raises to 35. BB makes it 70. Hero 110. BB shoves for $410. Hero?

easy fold now. no reason to raise to 110 either. raise pre w/ tight BB, but I could get behind a limp if the BB or SB were very loose passive.

Unless your exploiting a specific opponent you should have no open limping range from the button.

As played you should have flat called the $70 unless you think villain is massively tilted. If you really think that go bigger then $110 and call the shove. It's probably a bad move though. The flush and straight possibilities on this board are very obvious and the only worse hand likely to play here is a K/Q flush. 9X, straights and low flushes are folding or flat calling at some point.

The question is: is V the kind of dum-dum who falls in love with a straight or flush draw when the flop contains a pair, and orgasms when his draw gets there? Or is he someone who would only be shoving on the river if he had a boat?

This is probably an unanswerable question, but I would lean toward a call for the sole reason that he just got stacked. He may be semi-tilting here.

Of course, you never should have put yourself in this position. Just call the river reraise. There's no way he's giving you any action at that point unless he has you beaten, so the four-bet is worse than pointless.

As a tight player myself, when I go on tilt I tighten up...not loosen up. I'm less likely to gamble, push small edges or run bluffs. All I see are monsters or bad beats.

If the villain is truly tight (vs just card dead), then the raise to $110 is spewing cash. Pots that go check/check/shove are almost always monsters...either slow played or runner/runner types.

If you called and he showed up with a straight or worse flush, then he isn't tight...or maybe he misread the board...I've seen that happen many times. For example, they have the JQ and don't see the flush.

Also, A2 is an auto raise preflop here 100% of the time.

Results.
Spoiler:
Hero hated his last raise to 110 then folded. Villain showed QJ for a smaller flush.

If I'm gonna min4bet and get jammed on then I consider this a desirable result. I mean if he min5bet you would have probably just min6bet him anyway right? But this is a really goofball hand. No preflop raise and then this silly slap fest at the end.
