Hi all,

1/3. Hero playing $120. Straddle on and hero has 99 in MP and calls. Two callers and BB raises to $16. Two callers in between raiser and hero. Hero? Pot is $56.

I shove here, as I think I have ~43% equity vs BB range. Not getting a money overlay, but BB may fold the weak part of his range. Maybe even TT.....nah....he's not folding TT, but maybe KQs ATs etc.

Welcome to short stacking. You got your $130 in vs another guys $130 plus $32 in dead money in the pot. You were a slight favorite. Its the perfect scenario but short stacking is very high variance because these spots come up a lot and you could lose 10 in a row.

This is the sort of spot that makes my DumbosTrunk swell up.

Probably better to just raise first time, but this worked out well.
