I know the thread has morphed into a generic deep stack vs. small stack, but again, I'd like to point out in my case I buy in for 100BB at a table full of unknowns and after an orbit or two top off if warranted.

As somebody said, you should be deep if you think you are the best player at the table, how would that even be possible if have zero reads on anybody (both in the sense how can you know and in the sense that without reads you can't really be better than a good abc player).

I don’t really agree with what anyone is saying here. I think both hands are really close because you aren’t even the effective stack. I like your raises and I see what you’re trying to accomplish. You were trying to get heads up and all in with the opponent you were ahead of. It just turns out you ran into the top of the second villains range both times but they did play their hands face up by going all in. I still don’t know if I could find a fold readless since these villains have been limping with a short stack which just looks loose passive to me.

Although, the hand with the straddle the SB range screams pocket pair. Both are tough spots but in hand one take into consideration the dry board and that SB limp first to act if that’s the way it works with the button straddle in your room.

In hand 1 there are no draws and the shove already has a call. That one you can fold pretty easy.

Hand 2 is a judgement call because OESD are possible and you beat AK. I would still favor fold when a 3rd party jumps in.
This. I think you could easily fold to the shove on both hands.

+1Golden Nugget Las Vegas is one exception. It's uncapped.

Every non-fish in the game knows there is a time limit to get chips from the fish, they do in fact go broke too quickly.
