Hero is on the BTN with 78o 2 limps to hero who over limps. Smalk blind calls, 5 handed to flop. 964r
Open limper bets 10, only MP and hero call.
What do you guys think of a raise on this flop?
3 handed to the turn. 4x
Checks to hero.
In real time i thought this was a good bluff card for me because if im called i still have equity. But after typing this out im thinking the pot sized bet on the flop isnt just some random cbet by villain. And that he has to have a hand with some SDV. Thoughts?

Not keen at all to raise flop vs a pot size lead out from a limper when I can just see a turn.

Definitely betting turn. If you get checkraised it probably means you're drawing dead anyway. If someone calls, oh well. It's worth a shot. V could just have a draw as well. He doesn't have to have SDV, he could just be giving up OTT. It's pretty scary to keep betting into two players there.

What do you think about preflop. In your opinion does this hand play better as a raise or an overlimp.

You're going to get a lot of people being like ZOMG YOU CANT PLAY THAT but I do play this hand in this spot, although it's pretty close to bottom of my range. Typically I would limp but these spots depend more on the other players than on which particular dubious hand you have. There are some games with a lot of limp/folding where raise is better.

I'm all for overlimping hands on the button in loose-passive games. I'd fold in the CO though.

Turn was an offsuit 4. Checks to hero who bets 15 initial raiser calls.

15 into 40 OTT is too small.

Considering raising river, would depend on villain.

PF and flop are good. Agree with betting the turn, but would be betting more in the range of 25-30. 15 was too small.

AP, folding river. Not sure what you're really repping here with a raise but could see so with fit/fold villains.

I would raise the flop. You have some FE and almost certainly get a free river river the turn checking to you. Can fire again or take free card. Nothing huge, make it $45 or something. You have ~30% equity against nearly any hand and have FE plus if you hit you’re well positioned to take V to valuetown on a larger pot. And winning the pot with 8 high would be a great outcome as well. Way too strong based on board to be flatting. But I generally actually AG it up so that’s what i’d Do.
