brand new home game i have never been to. my friend from my usual game invited me saying its a great game and i decided to check it out. place is shady as hell and didnt really seem too secure, but i was there and i trust him so i went along with it.

its a 1-2 game with a min bet of $5....even if you limp, its $5. its a 200-500 buy in and avg player is in for 250. this is first hand of the night. i bought in for 400 to cover the table and bc i was expecting a deeper game. this game doesnt allow you to run it more than once, so no business and if youre all in you dont have to show until the board is ran out.

villain is on button. is an older (55+), tan, guido with gold jewelry, watch, hair slicked back etc. looks identical to paulie from sopranos. he is one of the guys that runs the game and is sitting in bc we are short, he says he plays from time to time. i talked to him before game started and very nice, friendly guy but have no background on him. my friend didnt really tell me much, just that the game was worth coming to. this is first hand of the night and we are 7 handed at the moment. hes in for 300

hero bets out $20 (380 behind)...folds to cutoff who calls $20 (230 behind), button (villain) calls $20 (280 behind)..sb folds

You can do one of many things like b/f or c/f depending on the villians. vs unknowns I would bet fold (or if called check fold the river) for about half pot because I am not very good and believe I get bluffed here if I check.

i believe im gonna get bluffed here whether i bet or check, so i actually decide to lead out again for $35
cutoff folds and villain on button makes it $100 total with about $180 behind.

also, strange rules in this place. be aware to not get hustled in such an environment. not saying that it is the case in this situation, but just something to keep in the back of your mind since that happens. seriously.

as for the hand, a bet doesn´t accomplish much, c/decide is the move here.

edit: as played, you should have thought before you had bet. you obv have, so if you think you´re get bluffed if you bet, well, follow your glorious plan and call down now.

i didnt think the sopranos guy had it in him to raise here with a straight, i thought he would be raising w worse and thinking he had the best hand Ax....i elected to call and we binked the river with 5

how is the best way to get him all in or to call an all in now??

and i know this game did seem shady but im told its been running for over 20 yrs and i trust the guy i went with, but always had a feeling in the back of my mind...i am most likely never coming back here unless theres nothing running at my usual go to clubs

Fold. we understand that in this spot your two pair is not necessarily the best hand after dreamy drawy callers. If you want to get it in then you are welcome to do so by letting the villians bet into you (thats the only way to keep their bluffs in) but to me, since there is tons of 4x in the villians range, I would happily fold. villian is totally polarized to bluff / nuts here
