5-5, eight or ninehanded. We were about an hour into the game, so no particularly solid reads yet.
I'm not hero btw, allthough i was involved (i'm HJ/pfr).

UTG is a 30ish guy who just busted out of a tourney. Seemed splashy, overvalues hands, but in a passive way. ~2k

LJ is an elderly middle eastern man, has limped a bunch so far, not particularly aggressive postflop either. Limped and then x/called down in 2 separate hands on a K high board with K3o and K5o. ~1k

HJ: decent reg i guess . Hero and i have a bunch of history but not too relevant here. ~2k

Hero/BTN: 30's reg, gives off pro vibe. No history with UTG or LJ. Stack covers.

OTTH:
UTG limps
LJ limps
HJ raises to 35
Hero is BTN and calls with 97
UTG calls
LJ calls.

Flop (150)
A65

Checks round

Turn:
A65 2

Checks round

River (150):
A65 2 8

UTG leads 80
LJ insta raises to 200
HJ folds
Hero....?

As usual, all feedback is appreciated so feel free to comment on any part of the hand. Thanks in advance.

Sadly, it's probably a fold vs. this description. I'm not sure I could fold, though. I'm never raising.

preflop is standard at these stacks at a passive table, good hand to take multiway in position

flop and turn are also standard, no point in turning this hand into a bluff multiway

river you are calling 200 to win 430, only have to be good about 32% of the time, easy call imo...given it checked through flop and turn, and UTG is splashy, I feel that LJ has enough value hands that aren't flushes to make this profitable...never raising though, only going to get called by flushes

Fold. But as you know Hero's exact hole cards in this example i guess you saw a call?

logic in post above is flawed, yes 32% you need to be good but this isnt the end of action, UTG lead this river and can still stick it in hero's/LJ's eye with raise.

AP, it reads trappy in my opinion, Hero's investment is $35, surely far better spots? sounds like a good table..

Easy fold. UTG has led out into 3 other players on the river (defined his hand) and has gotten insta-raised. LJ almost always has the flush.
