In general, people bet too often in multiway pots (myself included). Our EV drops a bunch when we get raised; I guess you could say I'm afraid of losing EV, but I find that to be solid poker strategy

I just don’t think u get check raised too often, and I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it
Totally on board with the flop cbet and size. I like the tank call on the turn and I'm snapping river. If he has AT or a set then that sucks but for stack sizes we just can't ever fold here. QT is close and I think 9T is a fold assuming you don't tank call with that hand. It's close with the tank mixed in but I still probably hope to find a fold tho I might not in game. I've played with a couple pretty sharp older guys that have the stones to value jam AJ here after showing some weakness on the turn
Edit: over limping pre is out of the question for me. I'm 3betting this hand vs an open from this position. It's much too strong to be limping
Second edit: hyperknit could you read the last thread I started and respond or message me your response? I'd appreciate it. Don't need to read the replies as the whole thread is a clusterf***. Curious what you think
It’s really hard to give us credit for a hand this strong. When we bet flop, we look like we will mostly have AJ, KJ, QJ, overpairs as our value range. Check caller definitely will have more Tx so it actually makes a ton of sense for him to lead this turn card.
But yeah, from V POV, if I hold T9s, I’ve no reason to think that I don’t have the best hand here the majority of the time.
Yeah this is a bit of a tight spot but I think it's a clear call. Really only losing to combos of 66 and JT the way it's played out, and given how shallow you are relatively, I think it's a snap.
