Game: Live 5/5
Hand: AKo
Position: UTG (5-handed)
Stack: 1000$
Hero: Plays 5/5 for the first time, might look a bit intimidated, but defends well so far and isn't scare to bet.

Preflop Action: I bet 20$, 3 calls. (80$)
Flop: 667r
Action: check, I bet 60$, fold, fold, V calls. (200$)

Flop is so dry, if I am betting its closer to half pot. Check behind and revaluate on river.

Checking behind and hero calling a lot of rivers. But that's totally read/Villian dependent. Depending on the dynamic of the table I think $20 UTG is to small of an open. Something I learnt along time ago was that when opening UTG we "generally" have a pretty tight/capped range, and anyone who's half thinking about the game also knows this. So to counter our transparency we should be opening allot larger than we otherwise would.

Interesting, I had never thought about that, but it sounds logic!

I don't like cbetting into 3 players on a bluff. I'd check the flop. So many Vs will call this flop with any PP, overcards, or SC. I generally play pretty straightforward in a 4+ way pot, even more so oop.

100% check the turn. Your kicker doesn't play. Pot control and try to get to a showdown. I'd call most river bets and check back any non A or K.

Bet turn small check fold rivers.
(Go like 1/3 OTT and if he calls he likely has a SDV hand, in which you only beat Ax or chop)

Lot of reasons to bet the turn don't think we will get bluff-raised anyways on the turn either (don't think villain should ever have a raising range here). If the A or K hits i like checking or betting really small to get called by 88-QQ (check-folding most of the time). If the club hits x-fold obviously.

Problems with checking the turn and check-calling the river is that our hand is face up in that we are pretty capped here (unlikely we have a 7x or are slowplaying a FH). So if we check the turn we let our opp. see free equity + we can't call a barrel on turn + river. In addition, we most likely have what it looks like we have an Ax that wants to get to showdown and villain will be value betting with a lot of value marginal hands (higher pps) which we DON'T BEAT most likely on blank rivers he will be value betting mostly going to check back A-T as that seems to hit our range better in this spot.
