Game: Live 5/5
Hand: AQo
Position: CO (4-handed)
Stack: 500$
Villain: V covers from BTN, unknown 30yo.

Preflop Action: I limp (because it was never limped preflop so I was expecting a raise and I was playing pretty tight), V limps, BB bets 20$ (looks good, but really loose), I call, V calls. (60$)
Flop: A63dcs
Action: BB bets 40$, I call, V calls. (180$)
Turn: Kh
Action: BB checks, I 100$, V calls, BB folds. (380$)
River: Td
Action: I check, V bets 220$, I?

I think I should have reraised at some point in the hand to define my hand more, maybe OTF or just preflop. Now do I call or fold? I need to call 220$ into a pot of 600$.

V shouldn't have any good Aces here after limping pre and calling.
33 / 66 are certainly in his range. And A3s and A6s are in his range as well. AT might be, but that woud be a little bit villain specific.

What have we seen V do in the past? How long have we been at the table? Does he normally limp im pre flop, does he normally raise? Have we seen him show down anything post flop? (How did he play his two pairs, his sets, his strong Aces?)

This should mostly be two pair, and 54 here as I would think that A9/AJ would be chekcing the river a lot here since a bet doesn't really do a whole lot as a value bet of as a bluff.

I also don't like the limp pre flop. I'd just make it $20 my self here instead of limp/calling. If the BB is as loose as you say he is, I'm also very ok with (and actually prefer) limp/3betting him since we are likely ahead of his range and will have position on him the entire hand.

There is 6 combos of reasonable sets, 18 combos of reasonable 2 pair (maybe less if we think he will mostly be playing suited Aces and not unsuited) and there are 16 combos of 54. If he has all of that it's a call. If he only has the suited 54, and the suited A3/A6 and all AT then we are good 4:16 time we are behind and we should fold.

In the end, I think that I fold.

I'm just going to pile on about pre-flop. AQo is a premium 4-handed. You should be opening yourself. If the table is so LAGgy, then l/rr is good too and maybe better. You definitely want to 3! this after it gets back around to you for value and to buy the button, unless BB is very tight and you expected someone else to raise, but it doesn't sound like that's the case.

4 handed it's definitely close. But I think you messed up pre and he could have like anything now. Having said that I fold.

your all right I know I messed it up preflop... so it brings me to that tough decision, your right too there is not that many hands he would bluff with OTR river except 54 so I should fold.

AP Fold. Made it super ugly by l/c PF but I think we can assume that V has 2pair/Set and very few bluffs.

Raise pre 4handed.

as played: r/f pre after the limp to something silly like 45 or 50 to get HU with BB. Flop and Turn are well played.

River is somewhat close but I like a fold, as V3 could take this line with his monsters as well, trying to keep V1 in the Pot OTT.
