V: ~500, LAG with WIDE range, middle aged white man, tilts easily (and is a hair heated)
H: 900, KsTs
V opens MP1 for 25
H flats MP2 (thought about 3! but just barely ahead of his range + wanted CO in too who’s a donk LAG - table wasn’t squeezing too much either) - should I have 3! here?
Flop 9s8s8c, V 30, H call
Turn 8d, V check, H 85, V call (he stalled a sec as if thinking about calling w A high)
River Kh, V check, H 200, V ships..
Flat or 3! pre?
Bet turn? Sizing?
River sizing?
Call the ship?
KTs is not a great hand, don't 3b. Calling is fine IP on a tilting LAG. Flop is fine, turn is spewy - I don't see a reason not to check behind. Snap call river shove.
Fold pre from this position and it's not even close. Calling is by far the worst option. You have a million players to act behind you, and you are begging them to 3! when you flat. There is also a donk lag on your left. So when the donk lag calls you are going to be wedged in between a tilted guy and a donk lag, with KTs? No thank you.
3!ing is bad too. Is KTs really ahead of his range? If we 3-bet, is V going to fold his junk openings and then we get to play against the top part of his range? I mean we have KTs. There aren't that many flops where we want to play for stacks. Do we really want to play for stacks on a K73r board?
Turn bet is total spew. V is never folding any FH and may/will call you down with any Ace.
I’m good on the turn check but I’m not sure I’m there pre (at least yet)..
Before the flop if we 3! he will call with full raise range and call c bet with any piece. And the donk LAG to the left won’t squeeze nor will the rest.
As for if we do check turn what’s our river action?
The big problem with turn is your trying to bluff a tilting LAG. V just likely isn't folding a FH, you can't value bet a flush with three 8s on the board. If he checks river, there may be an argument for betting but I'm not convinced he folds a FH. Also, I don't know if it is worth trying to get him to fold an A or better K, at least for a price that isn't value owning ourselves when we're betting into a FH.
I like a fold pre. This guy will give you much better spots on tilt and there is too much action left behind. Even if there is no squeeze you are most likely playing multi way with LAG action on both sides from descriptions. Even with an edge that shouldn't be our goal IMO. OP suggests everyone folds and we get best case heads up in position however.
AP flop I agree with call.
AP turn is definitely a check behind which changes the rest of the hand dramatically.
AP river is really tough as we are repping pretty thin and should only get called/raised by a K or better. What is V floating turn with? We just out drew 99-QQ and some smaller boats. I probably size between 1/2 and 2/3 pot. Pot should be 280 assuming it was heads up so your sizing bit larger. After we get raised we cant fold to a tilting LAG for 160 more in this bloated pot but we are chopping at best most of the time IMO.
