5/5 NYC Private game
Game has a “rock”, which is a little Buddha statue that is a mandatory $15 straddle (either UTG or Mississippi OTB which ever comes first when you have it)
I won it in a previous pot so I have to use it. It’s not actual chips but it’s worth $15 in the pot.
Been playing for ~2h.
V1 hasn’t been in many hands so far. Seems competent not getting OOL.
V2 calls anything preflop. He is stuck $2k. I have won our last 3 hands / no showdown, two with cbets and one with a turn AI when I had 2P and FD. Pretty aggressive pre/post.
H’s image is TAG. Won all 5-6 hands I played since start, only one went to showdown.
H ($1600) UTG mandatory straddle to $15 (with the rock)
V1 ($800) MP calls
V2/BB ($1k) calls
Hero checks option with 5h7s
Flop ($50) 578ccc
BB bets $30
H calls. C in MP calls.
Turn ($140) Jh
BB bets $125
H calls. V2 calls.
BB likely range is baby flush and Ac, no?
I suppose other 2P and sets too to a lesser extent but i am blocking a lot (would have def raised over pairs pre)
I thought V1’s range was mostly FD and MPs with one c, no?
River ($515) 2s
BB bets $125
H? Line check? (Important decision is probably on the turn...)

I NIT fold the turn, but as played I think we suckered ourselves into having to call vs that sizing - I'm not concerned about V2 at all.

Agree with 67o. Even Doyle’s Supersystem discusses the perils of bottom Two.

I agree too. This hand is straightforward. I just played it poorly.
Results confirmed this (but wanted an unbiased view):
V1 flopped a straight.
V2 had top set.
