OK I had this hand tonight, local casino, Villanova is registered looking to close out Tuesday bonus, play 8 hours to get $160, he has about 1 hour left, I have about 3. He said is splashy but not getting out of line. I've been playing ok, made a good call vs another reg when I flopped bottom 2 vs her tptk.
Very stack 250ish. Hero 435

Preflop
V1 utg+1 limp, 2 more limps, CO raises to 6, hero calls on button withat 86, sb calls, bb calls, V1 calls, 2 more calls
Pot 38
Flop 38j
Checks to co who bets 10,hero calls,sb folds, bb folds, V1 calls, 2 more folds
Pot 65
Turn 8
V bets 30, CO folds, hero calls with expectation of shoving on river.
Pot 125
River q
V bets 70, just the way in which he did it seemed funny, couldn't decide if it was massive confidence or scared. I've seen him in the past make bets larger but read just said something was off. So what's you move call, fold, raise?

Fold flop. You have SPNK and no draws.

The problem with trips is that it isn't a hidden hand. If he's scared, it is the flush, not your trips. If he's strong, you're crushed. I fold, but I would have folded before I put another 100 in.

Id fold the flop also, because there are too many people yet to act behind Hero. If I was close to last to act I would call sometimes.
BUT...if I called the flop, I am absolutely raising the turn. A large percentage of people wont fold when you raise in a spot like this when the middle or bottom card pairs. People try to rep it all the time with a raise and it rarely works if the other guy has a real hand.

Fold flop due to all the folks behind you left to act. Plenty of limped draws can check-raise this flop.

As played, I fold to river bet. You hand is basically a bluff catcher/chopping with 78s/89s for value. Turn lead from villain feels like an 8 or pocket 3s for the full House. I would guess most of the range with this river bet is pretty nutty like 33, A8 and J8 because straight and flush both got there. Could also be a weirdly played straight or flush I suppose, but seems less likely with turn lead. Anyway, hard to figure out what you beat here, calling feels like praying for a chop. Just let it go.

Thanks all, looking back I agree with the flop fold. I tanked and called honestly thinking that I only need to be good about 25%. In retrospect I don't think that I'm even good that . VI'll an showed 83 for the house.

I'd prefer a 3b over a flat pre. There's no way the CO here is ever strong, and you have absolute position should anybody call and have a hand that can flop a ton of equity/barreling opportunities.

OTF i turbo muck.

Turn seems fine.

OTR i muck
