I'm hoping there's a few live pros here. I don't think most online players have a good grasp on these spots since it doesn't happen frequently enough online.
So villain here squeezes 3 -> 3 -> 15.
We can't allow villain to auto-profit, but at the same time he is taking a big risk. 88-JJ would be some of our best defending hands.
Why? Kinda because they retain their equity post-flop, while a hand like T9s has missed often and has to look at bluffing plans.
Can we call TT here and why? Is the sizing too big for us to set mine here?
If there's a >Q-high board then we're screwed. Smart villain may check low flops with overpairs, but I think we have enough opportunities to stab at pots post-flop. If he was to sqz AQ-AK, then that's 32 combos, meaning it's really hard to balance a checking range when you miss.
People are also more committed in big 3b pots, but ranges may be face up sometimes.
Is my thought process correct for calling such a big squeeze? Exploitatively, would you want to go smaller pre with overpairs?
Other player in this hand was a passive-calling rec-reg. Villain sqz was only 6%.
I think it's simple enough spot for BQ and not really a hand review.
